My Teachers & Training
Some information about what I practice, how I was taught, and who taught me.
-
I learned how to work with my intuition, and also how to see an interact with spirit in my home from my mother, Lynore, and great-grandmother, Ruth.
Though what that looked like to them may be different from what it looks like to me, I learned tarot and dream interpretation under their watchful eyes and with their full support.
-
This was the period between my home teachers and my work as a professional teacher.
During this time, I offered readings for free to community members at parks, parties, community events, and whenever someone asked me directly (and it didn't violate my boundaries.)
-
I studied at Sacred Vibes under Empress Karen Rose for the beginning of my formal herbalism journey.
-
I studied bioregional herbalism at People's Medicine School to continue my practice of herbalism.
I earned a certificate, and became a community herbalist.
-
I briefly studied under Ms. Lisa Kay at Memphis Conjure and Ms. Toya Joiner at Rootz & Stones.
I mention them here because although our encounters were brief, I learned a great deal from them both, and the materials they put together for me to study.
I would be remiss if I didn't name them here.
